Having served as general counsel for a large civil engineering firm for many years, Dennis Stryker brings his extensive background and hands-on experience to help guide Stryker Slev’s clients through complex business transactions, construction projects and real estate matters. He serves as the firm’s chief transaction counsel on matters spanning contract negotiations, land development, labor and employment issues, and financial transactions.
His experience includes a wide range of real property issues from real property sales and ground and commercial tenant leases to litigation and land use planning. He has assisted corporate clients in their public offerings, including acting as chief counsel for initial offerings, reverse mergers, and private placement of debt and equity and securities related transactions, from public issuances to private transactions. In addition, he can assist in the buy-out of majority and minority shareholders for private corporations. He creates corporate risk management programs, advises on commercial and professional liability insurance, and acts as an enterprise risk manager.
Mr. Stryker is able to provide Stryker Slev clients that do not otherwise have in-house attorneys, the necessary expertise on a part-time or project basis, thus affording any business the value of its own “in-house” staff counsel.

Supreme Court, 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, U. S. District Court Southern District of California, U. S. District Court Central District of California, U. S. District Court District of Arizona, U. S. Monica Slev received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Case Western Reserve University, and her law degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego. She is admitted to practice before all Courts of the State of California.
She leads the firm’s litigation department, and specializes in representing owners of commercial and residential properties in construction related disputes, including construction defect litigation. Her clients include HOA's, owners of commercial buildings, as well as custom built homes. Her focus is on helping our clients recover damages for the inadequate design, construction, repairs or remodel that damaged their properties. When litigation is not an option, she assists in negotiating repairs with the builder or contractor involved in the construction or remodel of the respective property. This assists the owners in ensuring the value of their properties, and offers peace of mind that they will not have to fund costly and extensive repairs.
Ms. Slev also has extensive expertise representing companies and individuals in many other aspects of civil litigation, including business disputes, breach of contract actions, indemnity claims, products liability, premises liability, and real estate matters. She has tried over a dozen jury trials, and participated in hundreds of mediations and arbitrations.
She is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, Consumers Attorneys of San Diego, and serves on the Boards of several non-profit organizations including the Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) of the San Diego County Bar Association. And in June 2015, she was invited to join the board of directors for Just in Time for Foster Youth, a non profit organization that helps former foster kids transition to adulthood by becoming confident, capable, and connected.
