Risk Management

We represent employers in a wide variety of labor and employment cases, including discrimination, breach of contract, wrongful discharge, defamation, libel and slander, labor code violations, sexual harassment, retaliatory discharge and others. We are experienced in conducting internal investigations and providing followup reports and recommendations.

Our primary goal is the prevention of lawsuits through numerous strategies, including: training managers and supervisors on the legal obligations of employers; drafting employment handbooks, procedures and policies; and counseling clients through difficult employee situations, including employee complaints. Our lawyers also provide services in the union environment, including collective bargaining agreements, contract negotiation, advice on responding to organizing campaigns, and representation at grievance proceedings and arbitrations.

Architect & Engineer Professional Liability

We specialize in representing architects, engineers, land surveyors, landscape architects and other design professionals in liability litigation and disciplinary responsibility matters, including malpractice, practice management, loss prevention, breach of fiduciary duty, malicious prosecution and contracts. We counsel both private and public companies on ethics and professional conduct, conflicts of interest and malpractice avoidance. Stryker Slev also provides arbitration, mediation and negotiated resolution services, as well as continuing education programs and seminars. We are equally comfortable serving as outside or in-house counsel.

Construction

At Stryker Slev, we have an in-depth understanding of all facets and phases of construction, from contract negotiation to close-out. For smaller business entities that are not yet ready to have an attorney in-house, Stryker Slev is available to provide continuing legal advice and review. Native American/Tribal Law

Stryker Slev Law Group understands the intricacies involved in negotiating with Native American tribes and is able to obtain practical solutions and arrangements by addressing various competing issues while recognizing and giving appropriate deference to the sensitivities associated with such arrangements.
