Low Impact Development Web Portal

From California Stormwater Quality Association comes a portal to assist with Low Impact Developments.

CASQA in coordination with UC Davis Extension (Land Use and Natural Resources) has developed the newest addition to our website – the California Low Impact Development Web Portal or CA LID Portal. The emergence of LID as a stormwater management approach is exciting in its potential for improving stormwater quality while reducing stormwater runoff volumes. While the use of LID is not new, there remain many technical, policy, and economic considerations that have not been resolved. This site is intended to continue CASQA’s commitment to providing support to the California stormwater community as they integrate LID into their existing management programs.

This portal includes selected links and references to material from other sources, as well as information and tools specifically developed by CASQA and partner organizations to support the California stormwater management community. The initial website content is intended to provide easy access to foundational LID resources, especially those that will assist municipalities and other entities meet state/federal water quality requirements (e.g., NPDES permits). The longer-term vision for the site is that it continues to be a focused clearinghouse of general LID resources but with an increasing interface with the technical, regulatory, and policy efforts underway specifically to address California stormwater management issues.

Dennis Stryker has been asked to participate as an instructor for the Association of Corporate Counsel's Corporate Counsel University, a 3 day program for inhouse lawyers. Dennis will be part of a panel providing guidance on directors and officers insurance, what these insurance policies cover, don't cover, as well as risk management for the types of claims that directors and officers face.

The Imperial Beach American Legion Post, through the participation of Hitzke Development and the Housing Authority for the City of Imperial Beach, recently began construction on its new Post Hall and an affordable housing project. The housing portion of the project will be owned and operated by an affiliate of Hitzke Development.

The project, literally years in the making, will add a new series of buildings along Palm Avenue, provide much needed new housing to the city and act as a catalyst for addition new and redevelopment along a primary corridor through Imperial Beach. The firm is counsel to the American Legion Post.
